Thompson signs at CSU-Pueblo
Central senior tight end Trent Thompson signed a national letter of intent to play football at Colorado State University-Pueblo Wednesday morning.
Thompson led the Wildcats to a 10-0 regular season record and a berth in the semifinals of the Colorado State Football Playoffs. Thompson was the wildcats leading receiver and one of the teams top tacklers on the defensive side of the ball.
"He will be an asset to the program out there," said Central Coach Dave Craddock. "He was instrumental in our success this past season and I have no doubt he will continue to contribute at the next level."
Thompson, who also plays basketball and runs track, was a unanimous all-state selection this year, along with being named Southern League Defensive Most Valuable Player and All Southern League.
