Pueblo City Schools offers preschool programs for 3 and 4 year olds throughout the district’s elementary schools, as well as through three community-based partner sites. The preschool program is staffed with qualified early childhood professionals. Our district-wide program provides research supported curriculum delivered by trained teachers and is based on brain-based research that focuses on active, hands-on learning. Children learn the essential skills that are needed for success in elementary school and in life, including self-regulation, focused attention, vocabulary development, and strong oral language skills. The preschool program is funded through allocated state funds, blended with some federal funding.
